Zach Gotto

Mr. Zach Gotto is a second grade teacher in the Humboldt Community School District in Humboldt, Iowa. He has been teaching at the elementary level since 2001 with an early childhood background, and has used CGI with his students since 2006. Training teachers in CGI Workshops is one of his passions, and he has trained three different cohorts of CGI teachers. Mr. Gotto received his Masters in Education in 2016, and serves as the Mathematics Curriculum Leader for the Humboldt Community School District. CGI has made teaching and learning math fun in his classroom.
Mr. Gotto's school district has four attendance centers. The two elementary schools serve Title 1 Reading in grades K-4. Thirty-eight percent of the elementary student population receives either free lunches or reduced priced lunches. The Humboldt Community School District has a PK-12 enrollment of 1,570 students with 84% Caucasian, 11% Hispanic, 4% African American, and 1% Asian American.
