Seminar Details
We are pleased to offer an open-enrollment CGI seminar for grade K-2 and grade 3-5 teachers in a remote learning format.
June 23 - 26, 2025
This CGI Seminar will be offered in a convenient remote format. The course is for classroom teachers, special education teachers, and administrators who support elementary school teachers.
Tuition is $950 per participant. Special Note: If we don’t receive the minimum number of participants for each seminar by April 22, 2025, we will have to cancel the seminar. Payment won’t be collected until the seminar is confirmed.
The sessions will run 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Three four-hour remote Saturday sessions will be provided in the 2025-2026 school year for follow-up support. Dates for the follow-up sessions will be announced by May 1, 2025.
This course is open to individual teachers or groups of teachers from the same school or school district. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
This Seminar is a Year 1 Seminar. No prior experience with CGI is required to attend.
Additional Information
Participants will need the following supplies and materials:
A computer with video camera and microphone.
Internet access.
The ability to participate in a Zoom meeting.
All teachers will need a copy of the book, Children’s Mathematics: Cognitively Guided Instruction. 3-5 teachers will also need a copy of Extending Children’s Mathematics: Fractions and Decimals. Both books are available from Heinemann and other book sellers.
Handouts. A pdf file will be emailed to participants. Participants will need to print the file.
Blank paper and pens or markers.
If you don’t have a quiet place to participate in our Zoom meetings, headphones with a microphone would be useful.
Our typical daily schedule will be:

9:30 – 11:00 | Whole group Zoom session
11:00 – 11:45 | Individual work time
10:45 - 1:00 | Whole group Zoom session
1:00 - 1:45 | Lunch Break
1:45 – 4:00 | A mix of small group and whole group Zoom session
30 – 45 minutes of independent work to be completed before the next daily session starts
About Registration
Registration will be limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Refund Policy: Tuition will not be refundable, unless we have a wait list. If you register for the course and are unable to attend, you may send a substitute in your place. If we are able to refund tuition, we will refund 90% of your payment to cover credit card fees and processing.

How to Register
Fill out the form below to register for the seminar.
We need a minimum number of participants to run the seminars. Once this minimum is met, we will invoice you for your tuition of $950 per person. We will require payment or receipt of a purchase order within a week of when we contact you in order to hold your space.
If we don’t receive our required minimum number of participants by April 22, we will unfortunately need to cancel the seminars. You will be contacted in that event.
After the seminar is confirmed and payment is received, tuition is non-refundable. If you pay and are unable to attend, you can send a substitute in your place.
