Tanya Blais is a Math Accelerator Teacher for Grades 3-5 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. She was first introduced to CGI early in her career. She was amazed by the richness and depth of her students’ intuitive strategies for mathematics. CGI transformed her thoughts about teaching mathematics and began an exciting 25+ year process of delving deeply into children’s mathematical thinking and continually challenging herself to strive for excellence in teaching her students. CGI is the mainstay of her math instruction. Her students love math! She has a heart to reach as many students as possible, both directly with the students at her school and indirectly by teaching other teachers. She has been teaching CGI Seminars since 2005.
